iEARNiEARN connects students' learning with local and global issues. Every project has to answer the question, "How will this project improve the quality of life on the planet?" This vision and purpose is the glue that holds iEARN together, enabling participants to become global citizens who make a difference by collaborating with their peers around the world.

Global Read Aloud
One book is read aloud to students during a set 6-week period. During that time, teachers make as many global connections as possible. Each teacher decides how much time they would like to dedicate and how involved they would like to be. The scope and depth of the project is up to the teacher -- some people choose to connect with just one class, while others go for as many as possible.

Global Monster Project
Primary classes from the USA and around the world collaborate in this K-6 project. After requesting a Monster part from the list, each class composes a 12-word description and emails it in. When all descriptions have been completed on the chart below, each class builds its own Monster using everyone's descriptions.
